What is BIAB?

BIAB stands for Builder In A Bottle. It is a builder gel made by The Gel Bottle. It goes on like gel polish but in a thicker layer, so it adds strength as well as shine.

Many of our clients like BIAB while they grow their own nails, because the extra layer helps their nails feel stronger day to day. You can wear it on its own, or add French tips, chrome or nail art on top.

BIAB or gel polish?

Gel polish is a thin layer of colour, and it lasts around two to three weeks. BIAB is thicker and adds structure, so it suits nails that bend or break easily. It lasts 2 to 6 weeks, and as it grows out we can infill it rather than starting again.

Looking after your BIAB

  • Use cuticle oil every day.

  • Wear gloves for cleaning and washing up.

  • Try not to use your nails as tools for opening cans or peeling labels.

  • Please don't pick or peel it off, as that can take layers of your own nail with it. Book a removal or an infill instead.
